Linda Huddle – An (Ongoing) Lifetime of Achievement

October 22, 2011

Life is so unpredictable.

I first met Linda Huddle and her husband Ira some 15 years ago. We were introduced in a bar and had come together to make some music and sing (Linda and Ira have amazingly eclectic interests that run from the Balkans to the Middle East to the British Isles). Years later I discovered that Linda was working for a nonprofit in Northeast Portland not far from my house. Last year, Linda retired from her day job at yet another nonprofit (but fortunately not from singing), and her many contributions to the Portland community have just been recognized in a Lifetime Achievement award from the Portland Monthly. Thank you Linda. And congratulations!
